Officials with the Wyoming Department of Transportation are clarifying the planned closure dates of Poplar Street in Casper. Officials with the city had issued a press release indicating the street would close on Monday, July 23rd. WYDOT issued a statement this morning indicating a section of Poplar will close for 10 days starting Wednesday, July 25th, not the 23rd.

According to WYDOT, the closure is necessary to resurface the narrowest section of the road, north of the bridge. On the 25th, Poplar will be closed to traffic from 1st Street to Bighorn Road. Drivers will have access to all businesses in that area during the closure from Interstate 25. Signs are going up in the area today to provide information on the traffic restrictions.
