Funnel Cloud Spotted But Does Not Touch Down

Sara McCarthy

Well, it happened again. For the second time in two days, extreme weather has set off alarms and generated concern in Casper.

This time it was an actual tornado, or at least a funnel cloud, spotted roughly four miles from the Natrona County Airport.

The first warning came at roughly 4pm and the funnel actually passed over the airport, sending employees and passengers to shelters for a time.

Fortunately it never touched down though it did try to re-form several times.
