Hydro Plant Helps Power Yellowstone Headquarters
JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Yellowstone National Park expects to save about $70,000 a year in electricity with a new hydroelectric plant on the Gardiner River.
The Associated Press reported that the plant is supplying about a third of the electricity for park headquarters buildings at Mammoth Hot Springs

Yellowstone Winter Season Begins Saturday

The park opens to the public for the winter season at 7 a.m. Saturday.
Visitors will be able to travel to the park's interior roads on commercially guided snowmobiles or snowcoaches from the North, West and South Entrances
