Nearly 300 Firefighters At Medicine Bow Wildfire
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Nearly 300 firefighters are battling a wildfire burning in remote and mountainous area of the Medicine Bow National Forest.
The crews at the Russell's Camp fire Wednesday include those who are trained in fighting fires in rugged terrain and capable of sustaining themselves in remote areas

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Heavy rain that fell on areas of southeast Wyoming missed a 3,500-acre wildfire burning in the Medicine Bow National Forest.
But Forest Service spokesman Aaron Voos says the storms were close enough Wednesday that the fire was buffeted by gusty winds that didn't help firefighters
More Firefighters Added To Wyoming Wildfire
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The U.S. Forest Service is putting more resources into fighting an estimated 3,500-acre wildfire burning in the Medicine Bow National Forest in southeast Wyoming.
The Forest Service is sending in more experienced fire managers and bringing in additional firefighting crews to help the 120 already on hand

Medicine Bow National Forest Ready For Memorial Day Weekend
In contrast to recent years, a good number of open campgrounds and Forest roads will greet visitors to the Medicine Bow National Forest this Memorial Day weekend.
Preparations have been in full swing to ready areas for the holiday crowds and some recreation sites on the Brush Creek/Hayden, Douglas and Laramie Ranger Districts are open for the season. I
