Council Purchases Downtown Land, Moves Forward With Conference Center Plan

Casper City Council has taken another step toward the possible development of a $50 million hotel and conference center in downtown Casper.

Council narrowly approved a $315,000 purchase of property located off South David St. on Tuesday night.

2012 NicFest- Day 1 [PHOTOS]

Casper is a lot of things, but a "big city" is not one of them. Because of this, we miss out on a lot of 'festivals' and what-not that most big cities have. We've got Beartrap Summer Festival, and NicFest. The good news is, both of these events rock and remind me exactly how much I love living in our humble city. Sights Of Caspers Downtown Farmers Market

 
The Downtown Market opened tonight at 5pm and will go for eight additional Tuesdays . Much more activities, music, and samples are scheduled this year to enhance the market experience into a real outing for the whole family in addition to the great shopping, baked goods, and fresh local produce.
