The Casper College men's basketball team went 3-0 in this year's T-Bird Thanksgiving Classic with wins over Colorado Northwestern, McCook, Nebraska, and Dakota Bottineau. On Thursday night, The Birds crushed CNCC from Rangely 80-61 with 49 points in the 2nd half. Philip Pepple led the way with 19 with Tavion Robinson chipping in 12. Casper made 10 3's in the game out of 24 attempts. The T-Birds had a chippy game with McCook on Friday but did prevail in the contest 83-73. David Walker, who has signed on with South Alabama had 25 points with Isiah Banks going 7-9 from the field en route to 16 points. Casper closed out tournament play with a 109-94 victory over Dakota College from Bottineau, North Dakota on Saturday night. Philip Pepple had an amazing game going 12-14 from the floor for 24 points and 14 rebounds. Tavion Robinson turned in a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. The T-Birds are 9-2 and were rated 25th in the country in last week's NJCAA poll. Casper will be in the Gillette tournament starting on Friday.
