T-Birds Sweep Gillette

The Casper College men's basketball team knocked off a nationally ranked team for the 2nd game in a row with a 81-78 win over #19 Gillette College on Saturday at the Erickson Gym.Jackson Stent led the way with 23 and Nolan Bertain chipped in 16. The T-Birds had 5 guys in double figures and improved to 21-9 overall and 9-5 in the Region IX North, Casper will host a first round Region IX tournament game on Saturday against Western Wyoming. The top 8 teams advance to the Region IX tournament at Otero. The Casper College women wrapped up the regular season with a 95-55 win over Gillette to up their record to 24-2 overall and 14-0 in Region IX North play. Emily Robertson had 18 to lead the Birds and they will host the Region IX tournament March 8-10.
