T-Bird Volleyball Team Starts Season 1-3

The Casper College volleyball team opened the season over the weekend by hosting their own tournament and losing 3 of 4 matches. The season got off on the right foot on Thursday with a 3-0 win over Miles City Montana; 27-25. 25-17 and 25-17. Casper lost a tough 5 set match to Colby Kansas on Friday, 23-25 20-2525-19, 25-23 and 15-0. The Birds then were defeated by a good Salt Lake team in 3 straight 25-17, 25-11 and 25-18. The weekend play concluded on Saturday with a 25-20, 25-15 and 25-15 to NJC from Sterling, Colorado. The Birds will be in the Otero, Colorado tournament Friday and Saturday, facing Otero and North Platte, Nebraska on Friday then meeting Indian Hills, Iowa, and Lamar, Colorado on Saturday.
