The results of a survey on the health care needs of Natrona County released this past October indicate an unhealthy population and one looking for better coordination of services.

"When Wyoming Medical Center did the community needs assessment here in Natrona County they found that local citizens were saying there is a lack of communication amongst several different organizations."

Megan Zaharas is with Casper’s Initiative to Nurture Community Health, or CINCH.

They're hosting a  'Summit for a Healthier Natrona County' this Friday in Casper that brings together multi-disciplined professionals to discuss ways of strengthening that coordination and communication with the ultimate intent of improving the health and well being of Natrona County's citizens.

Speakers at the event include Vickie Diamond, President and CEO of Wyoming Medical Center and U.S. Senator John Barrasso.

CINCH partners in include the Wyoming Business Coalition on Health, Kids First of Natrona County, the City of Casper, the Wyoming Medical Center and the Community Health Center of Central Wyoming.
