CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The National Weather Service has posted a winter weather advisory for a large part of southern Wyoming.

Snow falling Wednesday morning in south central Wyoming was causing some slick roads, including Interstate 80 in the Arlington area.

Cheyenne, Casper, Laramie, Rock Springs and Rawlins are included in the winter weather advisory.

The Weather Service says 2 to 5 inches of snow could fall in the area Wednesday and Thursday with higher amounts in mountain areas.

Much colder air will settle over the state for the next few days.
