Due to a gas leak in a line outside the school, Sagewood Elementary has been advised by Black Hills Energy to evacuate the building, according to a news release from the Natrona County School District on Friday afternoon.

The evacuation plan calls for all students to walk to Alta Vista Park, located at Glendale Avenue and South Jackson Street.

Students and staff are due to arrive at the park around 1:45 p.m. and will remain until 2:30 p.m.

If parents are able to pick up their student(s) before 2:30 p.m. they will be at Alta Vista Park.

After 2:30 p.m. all students will be taken to Manor Heights Elementary School's gymnasium. Parents will be able to pick up their students there starting at 2:40 p.m.

All bus students will be able to ride their buses as normally scheduled.

Black Hills Energy asks that no one go to Sagewood Elementary. For questions please call the school district at 253-5370.
