A Casper man has been charged with assaulting his girl-friend.

Forty-six year old Roger Johnson has been charged with 1 count of aggravated assault.

According to investigators, on Friday June 15th, Johnson became suspicious that his girl-friend was with another man and then pushed her onto the floor and put one hand around her neck.

When the woman was able to get free, Johnson pushed her into a mirror and then told her to drive him to Cheyenne.

The woman agreed only because she was afraid of being assaulted by Johnson again, but was able to turn the vehicle around at Glenrock and return to Casper.

Officers later noticed bruises on the woman, and discovered the Johnson had a criminal history which included a number of false imprisonment convictions, and was on probation for another matter.
