A Riverton woman on Friday pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated assault related to a hit-and-run incident in north Casper that sent three people to the hospital in October.

Cecilia Warren entered the guilty pleas during her arraignment before Natrona County District Court Judge Daniel Forgey.

Warren, who was 24 at the time of her arrest, could face up to 30 years imprisonment.

A sentencing date will be scheduled later.

Warren's public defender Kurt Infanger asked Forgey to allow Warren to be briefly released from custody to attend the funeral of a cousin in Fremont County.

But Assistant District Attorney Dan Itzen responded that Forgey should deny the request because Warren pleaded guilty to three serious felonies and twice has failed to appear for court hearings.

Forgey said he sympathized with Warren's request, but was not comfortable in releasing her to attend a funeral and so denied the request. She remains in custody on a $15,000 bond.

The case started on K Street near Wolcott Street about 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, when an intoxicated man was arguing with a woman at her residence she shared with her children, her fiance and his father, according to a police affidavit filed in circuit court.

Warren and the other man were near a car, and Warren told him to get in it.

He didn’t.

Warren got in the car, drove west on K Street and tried to run over the fiance, who dodged the car. She turned around and drove back and hit the woman, the fiance’s father, and another man.

The fiance told police Warren hit the three so hard they were thrown into the air.

The woman was hospitalized with a broken pelvis, a lower back injury, and scrapes and bruises. The father of the fiance did not remember being hit, and he was treated for a concussion.

Warren left the vehicle, walked to her sister’s residence later walked to East L Street where police arrested her.
