Funding in some form for a new Natrona County Public Library proposed for the Old Yellowstone District in Casper will very likely appear on the ballot in November. If you want to know more about what's being planned there are a number of public meetings coming up.

"We're going to have three public meetings. The purpose of those is to get the input of the public and also inform folks, answer their questions about the new library project as it's been proposed by the trustees."

Brenda Thompson, spokesperson for the library says details about the project will be presented.

A Citizen Led Task Force has been meeting bi-weekly as they prepare a recommendation to the library board on the ballot initiative idea. Public meetings will be held at the library  Sunday, April 29th, Thursday, May 10th and Saturday May 12th.

You'll find meeting times and more info about the Task force here.

If you can't make the meetings, Thompson says there will be surveys mailed out to households later in May.
