With the recent sporting news coming out of Casper, one group wants to remind residents and tourists, that there's more to do in the oil city, besides taking in a game.

Casper's new baseball team will play their home opener on Monday June 4th, and earlier this year, it was announced that the Junior College National Volleyball Tournament will be held at the Casper Events Center, beginning in 2013.

While the announcements are one way to help draw in tourist numbers and dollars for the economy, Aaron McCreight of the Casper Area Convention and Visitors Bureau says there are many other things to check out as well.

"So many people from across the country would die to have a river that splits your city in half and a mountain that you can be on the top of in 20 minutes, and Alcova in little over half an hour, Independence Rock, the Mormon hand cart trail, the trails center...I mean there's so much to do here."
