One Dead in Early Morning Accident

An early Sunday morning accident has taken the life of an elderly woman near the corner of 15th and Pinyon Streets.

She was walking her dog, and not in a crosswalk, when she was struck by a car traveling east on 15th, and was pronounced dead at Wyoming Medical Center.

The female driver told investigators that her vision was impaired by the early morning sun and that is considered a possible contributor to the accident.

Little else is known, and the investigation by Casper Police is ongoing.
