The Natrona County Mustangs surprising ride at the State Soccer Tournament in Jackson continued with a 1-0 win over Laramie in the 4A semi-finals; which put NC in the title game against Cheyenne Central on Saturday. The Mustangs started this remarkable run with a 4-1 win over Thunder Basin in the quarterfinal round with TB coming into the tournament with a 17-1-1 record. On Friday, NC got a first half goal from Reegan Chadderdon and made it stand up against a 2nd half barrage from Laramie. Natrona is 10-9-1 on the year and have not won a state championship since 1996. The Kelly Walsh boys stayed alive in the consolation bracket with a 3-0 won over Cheyenne East on Friday. The Trojans will play Thunder Basin on Saturday for 5th place. On the girls side, the season came to an end for the Kelly Walsh girls as they lost to Rock Springs 1-0 in the consolation round. The Lady Trojans finish the year at 12-7-1. The Natrona girls saw their season come to a close with a 2-0 loss to Jackson in a loser out match. The Fillies wrap things up at 5-12-1
