A Casper man pleaded guilty Friday to hitting his pregnant girlfriend in June.

Chauncy Swain, 47, was charged with one count of aggravated assault.

In the plea deal proposed Friday, Swain will receive a suspended three-to-five year sentence with intensive supervised probation, Assistant District Attorney Dan Itzen said.

Natrona County District Court Judge Daniel Forgey said he would consider the proposal at Swain's sentencing pending the presentence investigation.

Forgey also lowered Swain's bond from $10,000 to $7,500. Swain remains in custody.
