Land Parcels Mark Site Of Future Town Square

Acquisition by the city of property parcels in the Old Yellowstone District is a step towards realizing a town square.

Its a small dusty spot right now, but is part of the long term master plan for the area west of downtown Casper.  Urban Renewal Coordinator and now Casper's new Community Development Director, Liz Becher says its more of a town rectangle at this point and is one of two potential public gathering spaces being talked about.

"There is such a need for public gathering places to create a sense of place and also to create a sense of community."

The land parcel is off of Midwest just behind businesses that sit directly across from the NC Football stadium.
