Beginning at 12:00 am on Sunday, June 7, “trekkers” will descend upon Kelly Walsh’s Harry Geldien Stadium to raise funds to help the Wyoming Medical Center Foundation Angels Cancer Care Fund provide a sense of normalcy to those impacted by a cancer diagnosis. For one week, walkers will round the track, one hour at a time, to show their support for someone currently fighting for life and to honor those who have passed.

The Trojan Trek is 100% student driven. The young leaders are determined to raise $30,000 in one week for survivors and they need your help.

Here’s how you can help

  • Call 307.253.2091 to schedule your hour(s) to walk.
  • Collect pledges or make a personal donation for the cause. KWHS student council leaders recommend a $100 donation for each hour walked, yet ALL donations will be accepted. Please make checks to WMCF Angels Cancer Care Program and deliver to the main office at Kelly Walsh High School.
  • Recruit ALL of your family and friends to participate in this amazing event!

A number of celebrations will take place during the Trojan Trek. All cancer survivors are encouraged to celebrate survivor-ship on Survivor Sundae. From 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 7, survivors will be treated to a free ice cream sundae provided by Ken & Betty’s. To culminate the Trojan Trek and to honor all who have passed from cancer, there is the Memories to Midnight from 11:00 pm – 12:00 am on Sunday, June 14. Metro Coffee Company will provide free coffee and hot chocolate for those in attendance at this ceremony.
