Kiyon Brown Charged With Assault and Battery

One person has been arrested and another hospitalized with a broken jaw following a weekend altercation.

Twenty-nine year old Kiyon Brown faces one charge of assault and one charge of battery.

Investigators say Saturday morning January 26th, Brown was ending a relationship with his girlfriend,  sparking an argument that resulted in attempts by several of the girlfriend's family members to intervene.

Brown told police that when one woman jumped him, he started swinging, hitting several people.

One person suffered an open compound fracture of her jaw, while another was hit in the face and was bleeding from the lip.

Brown is being held on $50,000 bond awaiting trial.
