A Casper man is heading to prison after admitting to taking items from a house that he didn't have permission to take.

Thirty-four year old Jeremy Holz was sentenced to three-and-one-half to five-and-one-half years in prison, after he pleaded guilty to one charge of burglary.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in mid-September, officers were called to a house burglary on Saint John’s Street.

When they arrived, they found a car filled to the roof, and then later heard a baby crying from the back seat.

The baby was in a car seat covered with various items and officers found that it belong to 27-year Jennifer Rozell, who had accompanied Holz.

Witnesses told investigators that Rozell and Holz were taking items outside the house and putting them in the car, but the two claimed they were moving their property out of a friend’s house.

The caretaker of the house recognized some of the property and did not know Rozell or Holz.
