The National Historic Trails Center Foundation’s annual Taste of Wyoming Celebrity Chef Cook-off has become one of Casper’s premier fundraising events.

The annual fund-raiser, to benefit the National Historic Trails Center Foundation, is set for Saturday, Aug. 18, at 6 p.m. The event will be held under a large tent outside the Trails Center and will feature fabulous panoramic views of the city.

Foundation Director Holly Turner noted,

“Guests will enjoy a fun evening of spirits, culinary delights courtesy of Casper’s finest chefs, live entertainment, and fabulous silent and live auction items. Authentic historic reenactments of Dutch oven cooking, pony express riders, and a snake oil salesman will delight and entertain,”

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Foundation operate the Trails Center under a public private partnership agreement. The BLM is responsible for the building and staffing and the Foundation is responsible for the interpretive displays. The fundraiser is used to maintain and improve the exhibits in the galleries in the Trails Center.

Tickets are $70 per person and $75 per person at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at Wind City Books, Cadillac Cowgirl, and the Trails Center Foundation Office. For more information call Holly Turner at (307) 265-8030.
