A hay truck that lost its load combined with recent snowfall, resulted in a mess on I-25 near Douglas.

According to the Douglas Police Department, sometime Saturday morning December 31st, a hay truck traveling on I-25, about 6 miles west of Douglas, spilled it's load, just past a hillcrest on the freeway.

Once other motorists came over the hill, by the time they saw the mess, it was too late.

About a dozen cars were involving the pile-up and the Highway Patrol had to close down I-25 between Casper and Douglas until about 2pm.

There's been no word yet on any injuries.
