CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has stocked some Arctic grayling in two ponds in Casper.

The department stocked grayling in Yesness Pond and Jessica's Pond, next to Speas Fish Hatchery, in mid-October. Usually Arctic grayling are usually only stocked in high mountain lakes in the state.

Steve Sharon is fish culture supervisor for the game department. He says the stocking means people can catch the fish species close to home.

The grayling are from Dubois Fish Hatchery. They are 12 inches long and weigh about one-half pound each, although some could be bigger. Grayling are easily to catch on small flies and spinners.
