A new fire station for Casper gets a classic dedication this Saturday morning.

"It's a tradition in the fire station that you push the fire engine in with manpower to dedicate the station. So we're looking forward to it.  It's gonna be a big day in the history of Casper Fire/EMS."

Craig Kidder, for Casper Fire/Ems, says the new  station  means a  short move for its fire crew,  but  a big step up to a  state of the art larger building that's designed to grow along with the city.

"When that station was built, the old station three, there were three individuals working out of that station, the apparatus were much, much smaller. Now-a-days we carry a full array of firefighting equipment as well as emergency medical equipment. So therefore our apparatus have gotten bigger, the bays are bigger, there's just a lot more services that we provide to the community now and we just need a lot more space to do that in."

Kidder says the community is encouraged to take part in the ceremony this Saturday morning at 10:30 with public tours following  around 11am and running until 2pm. The new Fire station 3 is located at the corner of 12th and Beverly.
