David Max Comeaux, 1936-2013

David Max Comeaux, a longtime resident of Casper died February 16, 2013. Mr.

Comeaux was born on June 12, 1936, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas to Galen
Alfred "Jim" Comeaux and Pearl Gertrude (Owens) Comeaux. On November 29, 1959,
he married Beverly Ann (Bevers) Comeaux in Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.
He was a graduate of Wichita University with a B.A. in Art and received his
Master’s Degree in Art and Ceramics from Wichita State University. Mr. Comeaux was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and formerly employed by the Wichita Police Department in Wichita, Kansas. Comeaux retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after 21 years as a Special Agent and Supervisor. His last assignment was as the Senior Resident Agent in Charge of the FBI Office in Casper, where he retired on June 15, 1986.

David was preceded in death by their younger son, Gregory Brian on October
30, 1988; his father, Galen Alfred "Jim" on November 11, 1966; his mother, Pearl
Gertrude on March 27, 1988; and his brother, Donald Gale on January 6, 1987. He is
survived by his wife, Ann and son David "Dave" Eric, both of the home; "special"
daughter, Karen Mannina; two granddaughters, Cassandra "Cassie" Lea Roy of Casper
and Kathryn "Katie" Chantal Comeaux of Welland, Ontario, Canada; "special"
granddaughter Jennifer Gibbins; his sister, Donna Louise Cyphers (Robert) of Chandler,
Arizona; his sister-in-law, Patsy Comeaux, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Comeaux was a 50-year member of Casper Masonic Lodge #15, A.F. &
A.M., the national and local chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal
Employees (NARFE). He served as a past Wyoming State President and past President
of the local Casper Chapter #358. He was a supporting member of the National Rifle
Association (NRA).
Graveside services will take place at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 26th at Highland 
Cemetery in Casper. Those planning an expression of sympathy are requested to make donations to either the Gregory Brian Comeaux Memorial Scholarship, c/o University of Wyoming Foundation, P.O.
