Danny Capozzoli Changes Plea In Youth Sex Crime Case
A Riverton man is not challenging charges from prosecutors that he touched two minors inappropriately.
Sixty-three year old Danny Capozzoli has entered an Alford Plea to two counts of second degree sexual abuse of a minor.
The Natrona County Sheriff's Office says in December, another person found pictures of the two known victims, along with a hand in each picture which was Capozzoli's.
The next day, a deputy interviewed Capozzoli, who said he had been drinking and knew what he had done.
As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek no more than a 15 year prison sentence.
Capozzoli is being held on $50,000 bond and will be sentenced at a later date.
An Alford Plea is not an admission of guilt, but acknowledges that prosecutors have enough evidence or testimony, for a jury to convict a defendant, should the case go to trial.
