Council Enters Into City of Casper Website Agreement
City councilors have signed off on plans to redesign the city’s of Casper’s website.
Council, during it regular session on Tuesday, unanimously entered into a $30,000 agreement with Canadian firm CivicLive – the company will be tasked with both redesigning and hosting the website.
Casper mayor Paul Meyer says the city’s website, which hasn’t seen a significant update since 2008, is in dire need of a facelift.
“It amazes me how many complaints I get about our website – how it is not as friendly as newer-age websites are, and that the information that’s available is quite limited,” Meyer said.
The city will pay for the new website’s design through excess one-cent sales tax funds from last fiscal year. City officials say the new website should be online by this summer.
