Instead of one tree being lit up for the winter holiday season, the Wyoming Medical Center lit up a park full of them.

About 65 trees, decorated with holiday lights were lit up on Sunday, November 23rd, at Casper’s Conwell Park, or Holiday Square as it’s now called, for the season.

It’s a tradition put on by the Wyoming Medical Center for the past 17 years.

Alisha Havens is the Development Director of the Wyoming Medical Center Foundation.

She says it's a way to welcome in the winter holiday season, regardless if you're able to walk through the park or not.

"Conwell Park is located directly across from the hospital and it's so nice for our patients, when they're in the hospital during the holidays, to look out and see the lights, and more importantly for the whole community to enjoy just the lights and the holiday season as a whole."

The lights will be on from dusk until dawn everyday between now and the New Years’ Holiday.

New to the park this year is a tree lit up in pink lights, for Breast Cancer Awareness.
