"Dangerously cold wind chills, as low as 35 below zero, could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle."
WYDOT shared this picture from Chadron, Nebraska, stating: "Nearly all highways in the western portion of the state remain closed...Those closures can and do affect our highways, such as U.S. 20, which is closed from Lusk to the state line."
"If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency" said the National Weather Service in their winter storm advisory.
