The two-game win streak in Mountain West play was short-lived for the Wyoming Cowboys, as they got pasted by the Aztecs in San Diego Tuesday night, 79-51. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles Lakers' owner Jerry Buss has died at age 80.

To say the game was physical does it no justice. In another defensive slug fest, the Wyoming Cowboys out-lasted the Fresno State Bulldogs 55-51 in overtime Saturday at the Arena-Auditorium. The Cowboys out-scored Fresno State 14-2 over the final 8:20 of game action, including the overtime period.

A clutch pass and a pair of free throws from Chaundra Sewell helped the Wyoming Cowgirls pull out a 66-65 down to the wire win at Nevada Wednesday night in Reno. It marked the sixth straight win for UW in conference play. Sewell led four Cowgirls in double figures, as she recorded her ninth double-double this season with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
