The Casper College Board of Trustees is back up to full strength with the addition of Steven Degenfelder to fill a vacant seat on the board.

At their regularly scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, the Casper College Board of Trustees approved Degenfelder to fill the vacancy on the Casper College Board of Trustees. He was unanimously recommended by the board's subcommittee following letters and interviews from interested community members.

Degenfelder brings complementary strengths to the current board and a strong history of community involvement," says trustee Suzanne Sandoval who was on the subcommittee to appoint the new trustee.

Degenfelder is a certified professional landman with 38 years of land management experience in both public and private sectors. He currently works for Kirkwood Oil and Gas LLC as land manager in Casper, Wyoming.

Degenfelder has served on the Natrona County School District Board of Trustees and the Natrona County Planning and Zoning Commission. He is on the board of directors for the Petroleum Association of Wyoming and a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Wyoming Association of Professional Landmen. Degenfelder received his BBA in management from Texas Tech University and has lived in Casper for 36 years.
