Casper Coll. Head-Count, Full-Time Enrollment Down
Officials with Casper College say enrollment is down slightly for the 2012 fall semester.
Vice president of student affairs at Casper College Joanna Anderson says, at the college’s 10-day census date, the school’s date of official record, head-count enrollment dipped three percent to 3,817 students. Anderson attributes this to a strong local economy and its counter-cyclical affect on the college’s enrollment.
“Any time the local economy improves community college enrollment declines slightly,” Anderson said.
Anderson says the number of full-time equivalency students also dipped, this time down four percent, to 3,215 students.
Anderson also says campus residence halls are at 95 percent capacity.
