Casper-Natrona County International Airport is conducting a survey regarding Allegiant Air's former service from Casper to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

Airport manager Glenn Januska says the survey, which was published earlier this week, focuses on several aspects of the former service, including visibility, popularity and price.

Januska says word-of-mouth interest in the survey has been strong.

“We've received 1,007 responses as of right now,” Januska said. “Getting those responses quick certainly shows the excitement and enthusiasm for getting this service back in place."

Allegiant cited disappointing profit margins as one of the reasons why service from Casper to Mesa was dropped in May of last year. Januska says he plans to go over the survey results with officials from Allegiant in April.
