Casper College basketball player Isaac Bonton was named a 2nd team All American by the National Junior College Athletics Association. The 6-3 Portland, Oregon native averaged 21 points and 5 rebounds per game as the T-Birds advanced to the National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas in March. Bonton threw in 30 points in Casper's first round loss to Cleveland State from Tennessee. Bonton also was named the Co-Region IX player of the year. On the ladies side, Casper College player Lucie Hoskova was named an Honorable Mention All American thanks to averaging 17 points per contest. Head Coach Dwight Gunnare was tabbed as the Region IX Coach of the Year after leading the Lady T-Birds to a 27-7 record and a North conference championship.
