The Casper Bobcats junior hockey team improved to 7-14 on the year with 3 straight wins over Steamboat, Colorado in Western States League play at the Ice Arena.On Friday, the Cats earned a 5-2 decision over Steamboat thanks to 3 goals in the 1st period. For the game, Kevin Richter scored twice and Daniel Silar tallied a couple of times. Saturday's game was a tightly contested match-up with Casper prevailing 3-1. Alex Roth had 2 goals for the Bobcats while Florian Seelman also scored. Sunday's game was a bit chippy with more than a few penalty minutes issued. But Casper won a laugher 8-2 as Silar had the hat trick with 3 goals and assisted on 2 others. Alex Roth also found the back of the net twice. The Bobcats will be in the Western States League showcase in Las Vegas starting next Tuesday.
