Authorities Investigate Riverton Homicide

(Riverton, WY) – One person is dead and another critically injured in an apparent homicide in Riverton. County 10 reports police were called to the Rails to Trails Bike Path in northeast Riverton just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of an unresponsive person.

Police found one person dead at the scene, and discovered another unresponsive person nearby. The second victim was rushed to Wyoming Medical Center in Casper by helicopter.

County 10 reports authorities were conducting interviews, but had no other information. The death is being investigated by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, Riverton Police and Fremont County Coroner.

The victims’ identities have not been released.
