Albany County Woman Sentenced For Embezzlement

An Albany County woman has been sentenced to three to 10 years in prison for stealing more than $55,000 from her former employer.

The Laramie Boomerang reports that 32-year-old Marsha Suzanne Fenton was sentenced Friday for one count of felony larceny. She was convicted of stealing $55,930from her former employer, Kalcon Electric.

Prosecutors said she fraudulently billed Kalcon Electric to purchase goods and services for her family, including a set of tires.

Fenton has since paid back the $55,930.

Fenton had to be led into the courtroom by a family member because she recently has lost her eyesight due to a medical condition. She apologized to the court, her family and Kalcon Electric's owner.
