James Goodrich, Director of the Wyoming State Fair, was recently named the Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs (RMAF) Fair Manager of the Year at their recent convention in Great Falls, Montana.

Goodrich has been the Director of the Wyoming State Fair since 2007 and has made significant contributions to the Wyoming State Fair and grounds. As Director, he spearheaded and managed the 100th Wyoming State Fair celebration and has overseen several projects to improve the quality of the Wyoming State Fairgrounds.

The Fair Manager of the Year award is given to any active Fair Manager who has been involved with their fair for a minimum of five years and has made outstanding contributions to their fair and community. The Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs’ purpose is to promote fairs and similar events throughout our membership area and to provide a platform to unite fairs and events with exceptional and unique entertainment for public enjoyment. The Rocky Mountain region includes Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The Wyoming State Fair is a showcase of Wyoming agriculture and industries. Stationed in Douglas, Wyoming since 1905, the State Fair also represents Wyoming heritage and culture with a focus on education, competition, and entertainment for all ages.
