Nurses across the country are being honored this week as today kicks off National Nurses Week - May 6th thru May 12th!

Nurses are some of the most thoughtful and caring individuals and deserve all the praise and accolades in trying to care for patients in an over burdened health care system.

As many health care corporate machines seem to only care about grabbing as much money as possible, it's the nurses that care for the individuals and families that come through the door.  Providing comfort and support, fielding questions and trying to provide information to patients and families looking for answers.

From the minor cuts and bruises to dealing with medical emergencies and major traumas - Nurses are amazing people!

Today, the Casper Star Tribune released it's - Celebrate Nurses Special Section for 2015 - a salute to nurses in Wyoming ( This insert is available on newsstands, but not online at the time of this post).

There is one nurse in particular that I am extremely proud of.... my fiance Juanita Charter is included in this year's edition saluting the top nurses in Wyoming!  Like the other nurses in this special edition, she was nominated for her contributions, compassion and attention to her patients, most of them battling cancer at Casper's Rocky Mountain Oncology.  I for one, can attest that she always goes above and beyond for patients in her care and the patients she helps to treat often come back to say 'Thank You', long after their treatments.

To my love, Juanita and to all the great nurses receiving recognition this week - Thank You for all that you do!!  I've told Juanita this time and time again, there is no way I could ever do her job!

Happy National Nurses Week to all the Nurses who care for us here in Wyoming!!
