The closures are expected to save the state a little over $197,000 from June 15 through Sept. 30.

In issuing the vetoes, Governor Gordon cited a ''dramatically altered" state fiscal outlook.

Gordon said at a news conference Thursday he has told state agency directors that revenue remains tight and not all funding requests will get approved.
