On Thursday, the Wyoming ACLU joined several other ACLUs across the country in urging the U.S. Supreme Court in upholding the constitutionality of the Indian Child Welfare Act.
The Wyoming ACLU has included the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office in their report on law enforcement offices that have violated people's civil liberties, however, the Sheriff's Office disputes that claim.
In a news release, the ACLU said it is ready to work with lawmakers to create policies to "break down the unchecked and systemic racism that has brought us to this point."
