The breezy conditions today could take sparks or smoldering embers and fan them into flames that would spread quickly.

The snow, coupled with northeast and north winds between 20 mph and 40 mph, could create near white-out conditions.

Lusk, Torrington, Douglas, and several other communities could be hit by the storms.

Just for comparison, the National Weather Service defines winds of 74 miles per hour as "hurricane force."

Several wind gusts of 92 miles per hour or higher were recorded in SE Wyoming.

Tennis-ball size hail and winds of up to 65 MPH are the main hazards expected with these storms.
