Two people died and another was injured early Monday morning after a semi collided with a tow truck recovering a car from a previous slide-off on Interstate 80.

WHP Troopers pursued the truck east on Interstate 80 towards Wamsutter, Wyoming. The driver fled from law enforcement at speeds near 100 miles per hour. The driver was observed to cross into opposite lanes of traffic on the Interstate at times, before exiting the roadway.

A westbound Ford Mustang slid off the road at highway speeds and rear-ended the unoccupied fire engine, trapping the car's driver.

WYDOT says the sander of the plow was damaged and will need to be repaired.

Winters' family has been notified of his whereabouts.

Winters is described as a white man, six feet tall weighing roughly 175 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans.
