Executive Order 2021-08 removes all UI benefit claims between March 13 and December 31, 2020 from the business whose accounts were charged for those claims.
Wyoming ended extra unemployment benefits on Saturday, with the state saying it's needed to get people back to work, while others say the businesses aren't paying enough to attract workers.
The representative association for Wyoming’s small businesses appreciated the move by Governor Mark Gordon, which ended the state’s participation in the supplemental unemployment benefits provided by the federal government.
Federal money offered to Wyoming for unemployment benefits will go to other states. The Wyoming House rejected a plan to use 38-million dollars in federal funding to extend benefits to those experiencing long-term unemployment, and to keep benefits in place for those in re-training programs.
