The Natrona County School District has responded to the town's lawsuit, saying it acted legally in October when it voted to close Mountain View Elementary.

On Oct. 24, the Natrona County School District's board of trustees voted to close Mountain View and three other schools.

A construction crew apparently cut the fiber optics line.

Representatives from the Town of Mills will be available to answer questions and receive suggestions about the master planning process for the town parks.

Town officials encouraged residents to voice their concerns at the next meeting of the district's board of trustees at the Bar Nunn Elementary School at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

The Natrona County School District's board of trustees will decide on the recommended closures at its Oct. 23 meeting.

Eric Salveggio sued the former mayor, clerk/treasurer and the Town of Mills for defamation and infliction of emotional distress.

Marrolyce Wilson resigned as the mayor of Mills the day after she told a Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation agent about the property purchase.

The case against Marrolyce Wilson arose during an investigation of Lisa Whetstone, the former treasurer/clerk of the Town of Mills starting January 2015.

Lisa Whetstone will be sentenced at date to be set later.
