Wyoming's suicide rate ranks 4th highest in the nation. Rhianna Brand and the Grace for 2 Brothers organization are working to change that. With support groups, education programs, fundraising, and awareness about mental health issues they are striving to be a light in the darkness.
So while the restoration of funding for community-based services is good news, Brand said Wyoming still has a long way to go to adequately address its suicide problem.

A joint conference committee worked out a deal on the lottery bill. The compromise calls for cities and towns to receive $6 million of the proceeds each year for 6 years, with the overage going into the common school land trust fund. The compromise must now go to the House and Senate to see if they agree with the deal.
