The plan will focus on student recruitment, retention and graduation, remotely offered degree programs, increased collaboration with the state’s community colleges and k-12 schools, research funding and private contributions to the university.

UW President Laurie Nichols says the plan will take the college to new levels of excellence and sets the stage for further breakthroughs for the benefit of our state, the nation and the world.

The draft was written by a Strategic Planning Leadership Council after public meetings around Wyoming and on campus.

Nichols says UW's disappointing enrollment numbers in recent years was of high concern to many who attended listening sessions.
