Two Wyoming women were killed in a single-vehicle rollover east of Shoshoni on Wednesday, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The town is monitoring the chlorine levels in the water and will be testing the bacteria levels through the weekend.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is still working the scene.

Beginning at 10 a.m. -- weather permitting -- crews will drop a large rock and other debris on and near the highway.

The Highway Patrol is investigating driver distraction because of an electronic device, improper load securement, and failure to wear a seat belt as contributing factors in the crash.

In less than a week, Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers survived a close call with an impaired driver during a traffic stop, according to a news release from Sgt. David Wagener.
